Why do you do this?Growing up in a single-parent family and siblings needing support from social housing profoundly shaped my understanding of resilience and working hard to make something of yourself.Our ‘broken family’, often stigmatised, was in fact a dedicated, driven family, perhaps not the most nurturing but we did our best! Although I was fortunate that my mothers’ hard work and dedication supported me in following a different path, I saw the struggles people went through. Now I see the critical importance of supporting families especially in the current UK economic climate with the pressure of rising living costs, uncertain employment, and inadequate housing which are more pronounced than ever. This is why I started my career in recruitment, wanting to help others in securing their futures.
