• Partners and consults with business leaders, local Human Resources teams, Centers of Excellence and managers to determine work-place accommodations, alternative work solutions and return to work activities for employees with non-occupational and vocational medical conditions. • Facilitates the entire leave process from start of leave, return and up to and including termination of employment• Collaborates with Labor Relations, Risk Management, Compliance, and Counsel (internal and external) to favorably resolve inquiries, with or without litigation • Ensures compliance with federal, state and company regulations and policies related to employees' absences including but not limited to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Pregnancy Disability Act (PDA) and Worker’s Compensation • Serves as a point of contact for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) managers for OSHA reporting regarding lost time and restricted duty for vocational leaves• Works with various systems such as case management tool, vendor database and HRIS (SAP.) Responsible for ensuring that all data is entered timely and accurately• Provides support to other team members and new staff.

Employee Relations: First Level of support for Line Managers and employees regarding employee Health and Welfare Benefits programs and LOA/FMLA/LOA. Benefits Specialist: Full cycle benefits administration including open enrollment, life status changes and issue reconciliation, STD, LTD and AD&D.Leave of Absence Coordination: Process and monitor multi-state leave requests including FMLA, ADA, and Associate personal leaves. Process all National Medical Support Notices and ensure timely response back to requesting agency.Monitor and ensure all premium payments are made according to pay schedules.

• Supported field employees in all aspects of the day-to-day servicing of their employee benefits and plan administration for 37 Texas Nursing/Long Term Care Facilities – appox. 1,500 employees• Verified employee eligibility and demographic information, including COBRA reports • Audited weekly/monthly reports to field and leadership and maintained employee benefit information in HRIS (PeopleSoft), including new hires, COBRA elections, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims• Monitored and entered new employee enrollment, changes, and terminations via Vendor’s secured site• Acted as a liaison between employees/facilities, insurance companies, and physician offices in efforts to resolve benefit issues/concerns

Corresponded with medical insurance plan members, health care providers and facilities, benefit administrators, and insurance brokers. Verified patient eligibility for medical services/procedures and reimbursements via FSA, HSA and DCA based on insurance companies medical policies and enrollment procedures. Also researched validity of medical claims and when necessary initiated medical claim adjustments via company's internal data entry system. Some general office duties.
