I helped re-establish some problematic distributor relationships, closed channel gaps in key markets, and opened direct sales to corporate key accounts. As the subsidiary grew and other markets faltered the Board wound down the NZ-based parent company and transferred their shareholding to the European subsidiary that I founded.

My role was identifying and developing international markets for the NZ-based start-up's novel waste treatment technology. I spotted an opening in the UK where, in the wake of the foot and mouth outbreak, the EU had introduced tough new waste treatment regulations. Adapting the product to meet the new regulations, we won key reference projects that funded the establishment of a European beachhead in South East England.
