Worked in connection with American Cancer Society, Texas Division developing the Breast Health Awareness Project throughout the Lone Star State with more than 30 television stations participating. • Produced a number of news specials including live coverage of the 1986 "Challenger" tragedy, which won honors for first on the air coverage.• Became the sports producer following the Rockets NBA Finals appearance in 1986 producing live post game programs following CBS Sports coverage.• Coordinated the hosting of Olympic medalists Victor Petrenko and Oksana Baiul among others following the fall of the Soviet Union in preparation of the 1992 Olympic Games when the skaters competed as members of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The team prepared for six weeks in Houston during this time of uncertainty in Russia and the Ukraine. • Produced specials involving Olympic athletes who trained in Houston including a salute to the Karolyi Kids & skater Tara Lipinski.• Worked as the video coordinating producer during live coverage of the Hurricanes "Rita" and "Ike" streamlining a number of video processes, which became newsroom standards.
