Profile bio

About Carlie Carson

I am a passionate mathematician with more than fifteen years of experience teaching advanced mathematics and statistical modeling to thousands of students. This has given me an enhanced knowledge of data tools and processes that could help any organization with their data needs. Professionally, I am adept at analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and I am experienced in using JAVA, SAS, SQL, Tableau, and MATLAB. In addition, I know how to draw conclusions and communicate those findings to any and all stakeholders involved. An excellent collaborator, I have the finely tuned people skills to work with a variety of personalities.I pride myself on setting a high standard for excellence and finding new ways to innovate. At the University of West Florida, I was extended the exclusive invitation to teach statistics due to my outstanding student reviews and students’ performance, which was an honor since the school does not typically allow professors who do not hold a doctoral degree to do so. I innovated by creating fresh new methods to teach this information and after performing data analysis on student learning outcomes, the data revealed that students had learned the material better because of my teaching method. In sum, my love of mathematics derives from the fact that in following a certain set of processes, you can arrive at a predictable result.
