I am a work health and safety lawyer. I advise clients in the construction, manufacturing, health care, aged care and fast moving consumer goods sectors, as well as local authorities and state government. I have briefed hundreds of boards and managers about their due diligence and safety obligations.I work closely with a range of organisations when a workplace incident occurs. I am onsite, advising on what steps to take in the first hours and subsequent days. Sometimes these incidents lead to coronial inquests or companies and their executives being prosecuted and, if that happens, I am by the client’s side providing the type of advice and representation that achieves the best possible outcome.I have been involved in many high profile Coronial Inquests and SafeWork prosecutions. I regularly liaise with SafeWork on behalf of my clients and have successfully had many prosecutions withdrawn against companies, directors and managers. Most recently, I led a team in the first successful defence of a supervisor in NSW under the WHS Act.I was honoured to be named Best Lawyers in Australia "Lawyer of the Year" for safety law in 2022.
