I teach the graduate course 'Understanding Statistical Research' online. Within the course, I introduce graduate students to the fundamental concepts and procedures of research, help them to develop an understanding of concepts related to inferential statistics, and show them how to interpret research results reported in peer-reviewed journals.

Associated with Primary Care Research Institute (PCRI), based within the Department of Family Medicine. I led and collaborated on research and evaluation related to healthcare/STEM workforce development; addiction medicine and substance use disorders. Developed, implemented, and oversaw research and quality improvement projects utilizing quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods research approaches. Collaborated on the design and implementation of evaluation plans within multiple grants and grant proposals.

Researched and identified prospective grant opportunities and mixed funding sources according to the client's needs. Wrote and filed private, corporate, and government grant proposals, including letters of inquiry and online applications for various non-profits.

State University Of New York At Buffalo, Dept. Of Family Medicine

The NYS AHEC System includes nine centers (all free-standing 501(c)(3) organizations with boards representative of communities), and four regional offices, including the Statewide Office. I worked with each of the nine centers across New York State and I oversaw statewide comprehensive evaluation efforts to enhance access to quality health care and improve health care outcomes by strengthening the health workforce and connecting skilled professionals to medically disadvantaged communities and populations within New York State. Within my role, I developed needs assessments, logic models, strategic work plans, as well as, provide data analysis, evaluation-related presentations, curricula/program development, evaluation tools/protocol development, grant writing, website design, and sub-contract operational/budget oversight.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow within an educational technology-training program, funded by IES, with collaborative & independent research opportunities to address curriculum, instruction & policy questions. Purpose of fellowship was to advance knowledge and theory in education research, not only in methodology and theory but also in communication and dissemination.

Roswell Park Cancer Institute, New York State Smokers’ Quitline (NYSSQL), Instrumental in the design and development of the coaching protocols and evaluation interviews utilized by the NYSSQL; designs and implements research studies associated with the NYSSQL (includes research methods, IRB protocols, data collection, instrument design, and data collection/dissemination); collaborates on papers for publication; manages the data collection, analysis, & dissemination of all data collected by the NYSSQL.
