I was technical program manger for several large, complex electro-optical programs including a Space Station based camera system and, for a foreign government, a very high resolution Aerial Reconnaissance System including extensive ground and flight-testing in the US and overseas, installation and support at a foreign airbase and marketing of product improvements and support to the customer. o The system consisted of 120 inch focal length folded optics, > 1 ton Pod mounted camera, a complex environmental control/vibration isolation system, a transmitter to beam images to a ground station in real time. o In addition to completing the design and testing efforts, I was responsible for the installation of the ground stations, antennas and service depot, for training the user community and the test/repair facility. The Ground Stations included very high-resolution electronic display units and hard copy Laser Beam film developing stations.
