-- Architected and overhauled the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication layer of a medical IoT device for a Fortune 500 company. This effort led to a 1000% decrease in Bluetooth-related issues and significantly reduced complexity, allowing more inexperienced devs to work on the communication layer with little ramp-up. The client now has a robust solution that allowed them to proceed with four patient safety and human-factors studies and FDA 510k clearance.-- Created a mechanism that allows the IoT device to establish a secure, authenticated, and encrypted line of communication with the peripheral device. This measure not only protects patients from potential man-in-the-middle attacks but ensures they aren’t able to use counterfeit or recalled devices.-- Identified an inefficiency in interpreting encoded production logs which caused devs one to two days to generate a root-cause analysis. Proposed and generated a console application to expedite this analysis by serializing and deserializing the encoded production logs from a structured JSON format into an easily readable format. This allowed developers to generate root-cause analysis in a matter of hours instead of days.-- Occupied the role of technical leader for a team of approximately thirty developers, ensuring continuous progress in their tasks to reach sprint goals, and addressing frequent queries on both the software and firmware of the entire system.-- Frequently acted as a go-to resource for handling tasks of the highest complexity and priority in a reliable and trustworthy manner. Played a key role in ensuring and maintaining application stability via the resolution of critical bugs.-- Skillfully led team members through the technical aspects of reviewing an extensive code base, encompassing four different repositories worth of code. This ensured specific code sections met the declared requirements, an imperative and precise process to ensure the client’s FDA 510k submission was accepted.
