• Provided DB2 subsystem support including SMP/E upgrades, PTF maintenance and installation of new subsystems. Upgraded all DB2 subsystems from V6.1 to V7.1. Installed DB2 V8.1 using ServerPac.
• Created and migrated DB2 objects across test environments to production. Refreshed QA and test regions with production data. Implemented monthly, scheduled online reorgs, runstats and rebinds.
• Evaluated applications for performance and concurrency issues using Omegamon, TMON, CA Detector, DB2 Explains and code walk-throughs. Recommended changes to SQL, database objects, and program code to reduce response.
• Responsible for backup and recovery of DB2 subsystems and application databases including disaster recovery. Successfully restored DB2 subsystem and application databases to offsite location as part of DR testing.
• Worked with systems programming staff to setup, configure and maintain SMS managed DASD pools and ACS routines for DB2 datasets, on-site imagecopies, and archive logs.

• Team member of project to convert existing HR/Payroll systems to PeopleSoft DB2 platform. Role included data mapping analysis, writing data extract programs and validating data conversions.
• Designed, programmed, tested and implemented 401(k) Paperless Payroll Processing Interface with Wells Fargo Bank. Wrote all required COBOL programs and JCL modules including backup and restore procedures.
