• Create design concepts and carry out innovative approaches for all manner of printed and digital media, gallery exhibits and advertisements, maintaining a consistent, positive and professional image.• Work effectively in interdisciplinary environments with clients and design partners to establish beneficial relationships, establish project scope, timelines, and budget. Recognize problems and identify solutions to resolve them.• Produce illustration, layout, and design drafts using the latest Adobe Creative Suite programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Present product drafts for review.

• Collaborate with Urban Planner to produce concept designs for a campus Landscape Master Plan, smaller-scale project proposals, and communication materials. Work with Systems Architect to plan and install campus-wide site amenities and update architectural product specifications.

• Provide collection stewardship ensuring the safety and maintenance of collections items and loans in the museum exhibition spaces.• Manage detailed inventory of museum collection records reconciling information and reporting details.• Train and supervise staff members, researchers, interns, and volunteers in exhibit installationand de-installation.• Facilitate new and/or enhance existing partnerships with other SI organizations.

• Participate in NMAI’s move of more than 800,000 Native American archaeological and ethnographic objects to the Cultural Resources Center (CRC) securing the collections' conservation and increasing awareness and accessibility for the museum's constituents.• Install NMAI’s first exhibitions on the National Mall with a team of collection managers, registrars, conservators, contractors, and museum technicians.

• Exceed performance standards in packing, teamwork, and space organization.• Advise in areas of expertise: package design, integrated pest management, data control, photography, rigging and moving large objects, and planning museum storage.
