I have directed multinational companies and business units and also participated in several Board of Directors and Executive Committees.My expertise lies in business planning and corporate strategy, negotiation, analytical skills, international business and general management. Through my participation as an International Business Partner of Executive Forums I realize one of my passions: to help other CEOs, Presidents and Owners to reach their goals, getting from where they are now to where they want to be, both personally and professionally. I have helped business leaders to transform their organizations and their lives through meetings with other top executives to discuss their most important personal and professional issues in a secure and confidential environment. This self-evolution has led them to better lives and better abilities to run their companies.Tireless entrepreneur, I have founded several companies in very different sectors: industrial distribution, real estate, cattle breeding, restaurants, trade inspection and others. At the same time, I am an entrepreneur, angel investor and mentor. I work with different partners and angel investors groups to evaluate start-up business models and opportunities, helping them to gain traction through smart money and expertise mentoring.I was the Minister of Economic Development of Bolivia under the Presidency of Jorge Quiroga, in charge of national policies in the following areas: energy and hydrocarbons, transportation and telecommunications, mining and industry. We developed the Bolivian System for Competitiveness and Productivity, developing programs to gain competitiveness for different sectors and industries along our country. This has also been my passion either in the private or public sector.I have participated in several conferences, been named Global Leader for Tomorrow (GLT) by the World Economic Forum and participated in several meetings in Davos and other cities in the world. Strong academic background. I obtained a Civil Engineering degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a Master of Science in Management degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with concentrations in finance and corporate strategy. On a personal note, I am a tireless reader of fiction, history and management books. Love the countryside, sports, movies and theater. Married and father of 6.
