Here at Neaton Rome Inc. I have the role of Quality Coordinator, but have the opportunity to wear many hats and take on many responsibilities. My main role as Quality Coordinator in New Model Engineering and Development is to assure all new model Quality documentation is created and ready prior to mass production trials and mass production start. Additionally I must measure all new model parts meet drawing specifications as required by our customers weather it be Nissan, Honda, Toyota, CKNA, or international customer specifications. I use a variety of precision tools to measure parts such as dial calipers, height gauges, taper gauges, pin gauges, go no go gauges, one of a kind gauges made for specific parts, and must develop instructions on how to use these one of a kind gauges. I must also develop documentation for everyday quality inspections for the quality lab and its technicians. Additionally I travel on occasion to Mexico to perform Supplier audits to assure quality parts sent to Neaton. Among the parts supplied are steering wheel cores made out of urathane or wrapped in leather with and without heaters, airbags for passengers/ driver airbags/curtain airbags, and pre assembled airvents.

Promoted from Mold Setter Technician to Lead Hand/Trainer/QA/Machine trouble shooting.As a Lead Hand I had the responsibility of assuring Technician's abilities continuously improved in order to meet the required change over time limits set forth by the Production Manager. Responsible for assuring quality parts were constantly being made on 13 different press machines during the shift.As QA responsible for performing first article checks using go no go gauges specific for each part at the start of the shift and after changing molds/change overs. Additionally I had to do checks through out the shift to assure quality part production. As machine processor/cycling machinery had to start with loading specific programs for specific parts, but had to adjust parameters of program for various reasons such as machine faults, weather conditions, or imperfect mold preparations. As the lead hand of the shift I still inherited the role of the mold setters and their responsibilities in addition to new assignments.
