To successfully cover every aspect of the local business for Packeteer in Mexican Territory: opening the office, creating the subsidiary for legal representation of the firm in Mexico, improving the local presence of the firm, forecasting, project tracking, creating and increasing pipeline, to develop, consolidate and strengthen business relationships with local Distributors and Channel Partners.Notable accomplishments:• To identify, work and qualify Packeteer solutions for a Major Bandwidth Management project in Telmex Red Uno, called Gestión Inteligente de Aplicaciones (GIA). This included responding to Red Uno’s GIA RFP, presenting the solution to Telmex Technical Committee, meeting Telmex Marketing department, to present a financial model for revenue sharing, among other activities.• To successfully prepare, answer and eventually win the RFP ‘Bandwidth Management Infraestructure for Avantel’s Netvoice subscriber installed base’ for Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey. The project required the delivery of the solution and training of Avantel’s technical staff to support the service. A 500k+ USD project in revenue (sales in).• A sample of major accounts successfully developed during this period is as follows: Goverment: SHCP, SEP, STPS, SEMARNAT, GobJal. Enterprise: FEMSA, ARCA. Retail: PaqueteXpress, Coppel. Educative: UdeG, ULSA, LaSalle, UAM, UNAM, IPN, CONACYT. Service Providers: Cablemas, MVS NET, AXTEL (formerly Avantel).• 2M+ USD in Sales on this period (net POs to HQs), and leaving my territory with a strong pipeline of projects for the upcoming months, including GIA (which potentially represented a deal for 3M USD in the first phase) and BW Management project for CFE Distribution, which was a 5M+ USD potential deal: a Major Bandwidth Management project inside Comisión Federal de Electricidad, Distribution Division. A solution for 1000+ offices nationwide. (CFE is the incumbent provider of Energy in Mexico).
