Students sit fororal comprehensive exams and write and defend a formal thesis paper. For USMC students, completion of JAWS confers the additional military occupational speciality (AMOS) of 0505, MAGTF Planner.During this year, I achieved recognition as a USSTRATCOM Combatant Command Scholar, distinguished graduate (within top 20% of 35 graduates), and received the Dean's Writing Award for my master's thesis, "Untying our Hands: Reconsidering Cyber as an Instrument of National Power."
