I am a masters graduate in natural computation from the university of Birmingham and have worked as a programmer in the creation of bespoke Banking software and also the development and maintenance of medical software.For the last 12 years I have been living and working in Japan as an English teacher but I hope to get back into software development. I have taught at a high level and respected high school as one of their 2 nativeEnglish teachers. And I have managed several branches of a private English school over a 7-year period. My time in Japan was a good education and I developed many new skills and had the opportunity to manage staff and teachers and deal with all the typical problems arising from the running of a school. Teachers, staff and students come with their own problems so every part of the job involves good communication skills and a way with people. Management of my own schedule, the creation of my own lessons and the grading of work were other elements of working in a school I had not had to deal with before. In my time as a programmer, I have worked both in a team and on my own to develop software from scratch and added to and maintained legacy systems. I have worked on every part of the development process. I have also developed a couple of my own apps now available on the Google app store.
