As a pediatric medical assistant, I assist a provider and manage 30+ patients of varying ages each day. My duties include taking vital signs, running in-house laboratory tests, administering appropriate vaccines to children, and handling medical records and insurance information.

I worked independently with a patient with multiple sclerosis and helped her maintain independence in her own home. I assisted with personal hygiene, including catheter care, bed-to-wheelchair transfers, and activities of daily living. During this role, I increased my patient-care skills and became more confident performing various aspects of personal care for my patients. My patient has greatly influenced me with her constant positivity in the face of difficult circumstances and I looked forward to seeing her each day.

I provided high-quality in-home care to 40+ senior patients, working closely with many Alzheimer's and stroke patients. I assisted with ambulation, rehabilitation exercises, and activities of daily living.

I managed a 60+ patient load during the COVID-19 pandemic. I helped senior patients maintain their health and independence in their homes while adhering to strict sterility guidelines.
