I was born and raised in Scotland and growing up in a small village I have learned to be resourceful and the take problems I have and face them head on as there wouldn’t always be a way to solve the problem close by. I love reading and music from a child and has continued into adulthood and I performed in choirs for most of my teenage years. I am currently a year 2 student at the University of Glasgow in the anatomy degree program and I decided on this particular degree as from a young age I like to understand how things occur and happen and growing up with a parent who has had a lot of health issues I always wanted to learn about ways that I could help and it led me to researching about the human body and how things occur and I was fascinated with how the body works and I knew that I wanted to study anatomy as I could gain a wide range of knowledge about the different systems within the body. I have a part time job at my local pharmacy on Saturdays which has helped me develop skills that have been useful in both my work and personal life as dealing with problems and communication skills are required in many areas in life and at my work I have to work well under pressure and solve multiple issues each day. I love my job as I get to connect with others and has helped build my confidence which has helped me in overcoming my social anxiety which has made life more enjoyable.One thing I am most proud of was setting up a fundraiser with my friends at secondary school in which we organised different activities and bake sales to raise funds for both the girls rugby Union at the school and the PDSA as I love animals and wanted to raise money to help the charity so they could help more animals. We raised over £500 and we split the money between both the rugby club and the charity and it felt good to help others.When I’m not studying or working I am spending time with my family and friends and taking my dog out for runs to the dog park with my friends and hoping to be able to travel a bit between years at university to experience different cultures around the world.

  ResponsibilitiesI am required to provide a service to customers and assist in helping with queries, I am required to hand out prescriptions, cleaning, providing, putting deliveries away and sorting through the deliveries.Achievements Through this job I have been able to become more confident and a better communicator and I have developed skills to be able to work better under pressure. I have also achieved a pass in my pharmacy dispersing course as a part of my job.
