About Carly Benedetti, Mba

An aspiring public accountant that will graduate with 150 credits in May 2024 with a bachelor’s and master’s in accounting.Throughout my entire life, I had always enjoyed working with numbers and patterns—this is what led me to the path of business. However, it wasn’t until I took my first financial accounting class, that I realized that I clicked the most with this type of material. I was able to find satisfaction in seeing the numbers balance out and recognizing different solution patterns. After this realization, in order to jumpstart my career in accounting, I proceeded to apply and later be accepted for the 4-year BS/MBA program at La Salle University. Although I did enjoy my coursework for the program, as a highly creative and extroverted individual, I did question if I was heading into the right field for myself at times. Getting to meet new people daily, along with regularly participating in acts of service are two big parts of my personality. It was during an informational interview that I realized I could still uphold both as a public accountant through a firm’s foundation and recruitment committee. I am involved in a wide variety of extracurriculars on campus, both business and passion related. Along with the 4-year BS/MBA program, I am also a part of the Business Scholars Co-op Program and the international business fraternity, Beta Gamma Sigma. The Co-op program allows me the opportunity to have two co-op/internships before I graduate. I also partake in a variety of La Salle intramural sports teams, and I held the position of Membership Director for Phi Mu Fraternity’s Phi Omicron Chapter. Being Membership Director allowed me to communicate with the executive board to organize and lead formal recruitment. While being involved in multiple campus activities, I also work part time as a campus tour guide. I love meeting new people and making more connections, so feel free to reach out!
