My role as one of the Partnerships Managers here at SDN focusses on supporting SMEs across England in understanding our complex education system. We do this through a number of free resources to help businesses work with their local education providers, where their future talent lies. With around 4 million SMEs in England it would be a challenge to reach them all so we work in partnership with our growing network of over 100 partners including trade associations, business networks and sector bodies who use the resources to start skills conversations with their networks. The programme is free to access and is funded by the Gatsby Charitable Foundation working in partnership with The Careers and Enterprise Company, Department for Education, Chambers of Commerce, IoD, CBI and the FSB.I am also involved in new business development, leading on our employer coaching and mentoring programme with the focus on improving staff retention rates and equipping managers with essential coaching skills.

I managed existing corporate members and generated new business.AoA provides the social and broader elements often missing from apprenticeship programmes, with access to advice and guidance which supports life-long career development and a lifetime of professional networks. AoA is the place to come together with apprentices past and present to support each other online and offline and has a rapidly growing network of partners including Channel 4, the BBC, Amazon, Asda and BT to name a few.

I qualified as a canine nutritionist and ran my own online dog food company donating 10% profits to animal welfare charities. I decided to put this on the back burner as I was spending more time developing products than focussing on my true passion of animal welfare. I am continuing this work through a charity I am starting called Animal Squad which provides a robust support system for charities across the globe.

The Entrepreneurial Education Group Ltd T/A TEEG Digital launched on January 22nd, 2014 at Speaker's House in Parliament with strong Government support. TEEG Digital recruited Digital Marketing Apprentices for businesses working in partnership with the Buckinghamshire College Group, Chartered Institute of IT/BCS (British Computer Society), TQUK (Training Qualifications UK) and social media industry giants Hootsuite as well as OCR (Oxford and Cambridge Exam Board) We delivered Apprenticeships in digital marketing which created many jobs for young people across Buckinghamshire aswell as contributing to the local economy.

Business Biscotti is a business network with over 250 groups across the UK and 65+ networking events each month. I was an Ambassador for the Aylesbury group and partly responsible for the smooth running of events and growing the group. I love networking, business is all about meeting people so I was very excited to be involved with a group that is informal, ethical and cost effective. I stepped down as an Ambassador due to other commitments.

Aswell as running my education business The Entrepreneurial Education Group (TEEG) I also did some freelance marketing and business development work for companies who need extra resource in marketing strategies and increasing their revenue/customer base.

YES Education had a unique programme called The 12 Steps to Success which helped young people learn entrepreneurial and personal development skills. The programme included interviews with some of the top entrepreneurs in the UK including Julie Meyer founder of Ariadne Capital and from BBC2's Dragons' Den, Adam Balon co-founder innocent drinks, Levi Roots Reggae Reggae Sauce and Mike Clare founder of Dreams to name a few. The programme had a 20% business start up success rate with the remainder of young people becoming motivated to either return or carry on with employment education or training. We worked with schools, colleges, young entrepreneurs, councils and young people who were unemployed through this programme. As of March 2012 we secured Government funding for the programme to become a nationally recognised qualification and fundable for the 16-18 age group in schools and colleges across the UK where thousands of students had access to the programme.

CPM are the world's largest outsourced sales and marketing agency and I was taken on for 7 months to drive marketing campaigns in the UK working alongside the insight & data team, new business team and Retail Director/Sales Director. This was an exciting role to have experienced within a Global organisation. For 75 years CPM have been driving profitable sales and growth for clients including Mercedes Benz, HP, Mars, Loreal, Royal Mail, Virgin Group & more. CPM is owned by the world's largest marketing communications group, Omnicom.

The YES Network was the first networking group for young people under 35 meeting bi-monthly with the view to connecting young entrepreneurs nationally to grow and do business together. The YES Network had access to funding, high caliber entrepreneur mentors, workshops, networking, skill swapping, business advice and much more. The YES Network was a "Business Resource Hub"​ for young entrepreneurs and attracted some of the UK's best entrepreneurs who gave up their time to share experiences including Charlie Mullins of Pimlico Plumbers and John Griffin of major taxi firm Addison Lee. Events were sponsored by prestigious law firm Mishcon de Reya at their London, Holborn offices and each event attracted around 100 budding young entrepreneurs.

I was a Governor at Activate Learning for 2 years (then Oxford & Cherwell Valley College) and had part responsibility on decisions and strategic direction of the college. I stepped down due to other commitments.

Public speaking - I spoke about my experiences of the Prince's Trust at conferences or meetings, one of the most exciting being the guest speaker at The Savoy Hotel in London with over 300 guests helping raise over £120,000 for the trust. I ran consultations or focus groups with young people to find out informationI was a Panel Member - Sitting on judging panels for Prince's Trust awards or a recruitment panel interviewing potential Prince’s Trust Staff and generally raise awareness of The Prince's Trust to other young people.This was a very exciting role and I was honored to have been asked by The Trust to become one of the 25 Prince's Trust Ambassadors in the South East of England.
