FLOC brought community awareness for a different charity each month to all of it's members, and offered opportunities for individuals and corporations to "give back" and volunteer, or donate time or money. Being a leader requires getting involved in your community. And while FLOC is no longer, my giving spirit and desire for positive leadership remains. I also served on the board of BIW (Beauty Industry West), which was a great learning experience, as well as feeling honored to network with other amazing professionals.
