My field of expertise is wildlife management, particularly human wildlife interactions, and biodiversity & infrastructure topics. The main goal of my job is to make compatible wildlife conservation and human societies development. I regularly work with civil engineers, agronomists, landscape architects forest and engineers. Negotiation and decision-making procedures to reach an understanding between stakeholders and to find the best solutions to conflicts are a big part of my task. Many of the projects I have led are focused on mitigating and monitoring the impact of roads, railways, airports and canals on biodiversity. I am also involved in R+D+i international projects such as the HORIZON 2020 BISON on biodiversity and infrastructure, the project SAFEROAD ‘Safe Roads for Wildlife and People’- CEDR Transnational Road Research Programme and the COST Action 341 on Habitat Fragmentation due to Infrastructure, the Horizon project. I am co-author of the IENE 'Biodiversity & Infrastructure. A handbook for action' (2023), the 'Handbook of Road Ecology' (2015) and the ‘Wildlife and Traffic’ handbook (2003). Since 2012 I have been an elected member of the INFRASTRUCTURE ECOLOGY NETWORK EUROPE (IENE) Governance Board. I make part of the Scientific Committe of the Research Program ITTECOP (Land Transport Infrastructures, Ecosystems and Landscapes), led by the French Ministry for Ecological Transition. I am also a member of the Editorial Board of the journal 'FRONTIERS' on the topic 'Integrating Transport Infrastructures in Living Landscape'.I love training. I regularly teach at Master Degrees at the Polytechnic University and the University of Barcelona and I've given lectures and training seminars in countries such as France, Italy, Ireland, Portugal and Taiwan.
