As an associate for the largest hedge fund asset manager in Canada, my primary goal has been to further sales in my territory. Working in partnership with my territory’s Hedge Fund Consultant, I manage relationships with over 3,000 advisors and associates across Ontario, prospect new contacts, coordinate meetings, client events and conferences to increase brand awareness and further business engagement. I am also responsible for maintaining relationships with some of our key dealer accounts, providing regular commentaries and updates.

As a licensed associate on a team of established financial advisors, my role included a number of responsibilities that varied from providing exemplary client service, to inputting trades and rebalancing portfolios, to organizing client events and developing a social media marketing strategy. - Launched and maintained marketing initiatives such as creating and maintaining social media presence, editing and publishing marketing material and distributing bi-weekly newsletters; - Participated in strategizing and implementing an annual business plan, contributing in particular to the marketing strategy, aimed at enhancing growth of the practice;- Actively participated in new prospect meetings and prepared documentation and marketing materials required to close new accounts;- Provided proficient client service, collaborating with internal departments to ensure clients’ needs are fulfilled, building relationships with clients based on trust;- Rebalanced client portfolios to maintain client holdings in line with their risk tolerances.
