Manage finances for UUA to include accounting, budgeting, cash management, investment and endowment administration. Supervise Finance team administering payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and more. Support the great work and people of the UUA and UU congregations.

Manage the budget and financial operations for the Congregational Life Division of the UUA which supports 1100 UU congregations throughout the U.S. Responsibilities include issuing payments, collecting and recording revenues, preparing financial statements and other reports, updating quarterly budget forecasts, administering restricted funds, reconciling accounts, recommending financial policies and procedures. Position is fully remote with occasional travel.

Led and controlled accounting and finance operations, including payroll and bursar functions, financial reporting and annual audits, endowment administration, annual 990 tax reporting, and annual budget preparation while overseeing business office staff. Provided strategic leadership and direction in developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures in accounting, payroll, budgeting, banking, and cash flow while overseeing internal controls, compliance with governing regulations, and development of college financial policies. Ensured the maintenance of complete and accurate fiscal records using accounting and finance software systems, providing recommendations for improvements according to requirements.

Oversaw all aspects of accounting and finance operations, including Payroll and Bursar functions, managed financial reporting and annual audits, endowment administration, and annual 990 tax reporting while leading Controller’s Office staff.● Led the implementation of a new ERP system, including modules for general ledger, accounts payable,payroll, fixed assets, and purchasing.● Ensured strict compliance with financial reporting requirements for state, federal, and local laws, andinstitutional policies and procedures.● Selected and implemented the Endowment Accounting Software (FUNDRIVER) while working directlywith IT support.● Steered efforts to reduce the University’s electricity costs and carbon footprint by providing support inreview and negotiation for the development of two new renewable energy projects.
