I am responsible for answering the phone, creating sign-up sheets for various church functions, sending out a weekly e-mail update of prayer requests and upcoming events to church members, setting up and printing the Sunday bulletin, and creating and printing a monthly church newsletter using Publisher software. There are always other little jobs too, such as keeping up with church attendance numbers, scheduling service calls, notifying members of urgent situations, ordering literature for the church, and overall, being a 'listening ear' to any who stop by my office to talk. I have done a little posting on the church's Facebook page.

I was responsible for checking (and 'cleaning up') payroll hour entries for our Maintenance department every Monday. Using QuickBooks, I entered all the invoices that come in, categorizing the purchase and allocating the purchases to a particular job number. I entered and submitted the weekly payroll taxes online. At the end of each month, I created invoices for our maintenance customers and sent them out. I also entered all the credit card receipts from purchases our employees made, doing the same as with the invoices - categorizing and allocating. At the end of each month, I was responsible for going through the statements sent to us by our vendors, to ensure that all the invoices were entered. In the middle of the month, I was responsible for balancing the company checking account and the credit card statements. Then, there were always little miscellaneous tasks that come up : ). Everything else was basically some version of the above tasks and at times, work could be a bit repetitive, but there was enough variety and (comraderie in the office) to keep it from being boring.

I entered patient demographic and insurance information, entered the daily patient visits and the procedures done, sent the insurance claims electronically, kept current with diagnosis and procedure codes, followed up on insurance denials, posted payments and basically was responsible for cash flow for the clinic.
