As a highly self-motivated and organized professional who enjoys interacting with the public, managing interpersonal dynamics and systems, and tackling in-depth projects, I enjoy collaborating and working with people to make a difference. Top notch communication skills enable me to be comfortable conversing with all stakeholders, including executives, vendors, customers, and colleagues. I enjoy diving in to accomplish the task at hand and consider myself a “solutions person” (how can we accomplish a task versus the reasons we cannot) while providing exemplary customer service, both internal and external.I love learning new skills and am inspired by working with talented people. The trust and respect I’ve earned through my actions and work ethic is important to me. My years in education have taught me that every day there is an opportunity to learn something new and grow as a person, whether personally or professionally. My strengths include creative approaches to solving problems and adapting seamlessly to evolving priorities and shortened timeframes. Technically savvy and computer literate, I can combine manual and automated processes which result in streamlined systems, enhanced efficiencies, and cost savings. I am pragmatic and methodical, yet creative and innovative. While I have a background in information literacy, administration, and program and project management, I particularly love teaching and helping students learn. My extensive experience in planning, organizing, managing and leading projects and people has taught me to handle multiple responsibilities and conflicting priorities to meet deadlines and deliver data-driven results with ease. Among my accomplishments are that I have facilitated professional development for teachers and staff and have collaborated and planned with other teachers to achieve instructional goals. I have designed and differentiated instruction to meet student levels and needs, as well as having exercised flexible and creative problem-solving both in and out of a classroom setting. As an Information Literacy Specialist, I managed district, middle school, and elementary library budgets in excess of $170,000, including ordering books for 25 school libraries. In addition to book resources, I collaborated to develop a partnership with the King County Library system to provide database access for students in the Bellevue School District. To increase accountability, I identified a lack of metrics to measure information literacy knowledge and implemented assessments for Information Literacy (TRAILS). To achieve goals that were not funded at the district or school level, I wrote and obtained numerous local and national grants totaling over $10,000. With the end goal of enriching students' educational experiences, I scheduled guest speakers and established relationships with a wide variety of partners, including libraries, theaters, and City of Bellevue in order to provide field trips and experiential learning experiences for students. I supervised and taught Teaching Assistants (TAs), taught students who speak 47 different native languages other than English, and instructed students in test preparation methodology and material to prepare them to take the SAT and PSAT standardized tests. In many schools and settings, I have maintained a very high level of confidentiality with sensitive information. Show less -

I planned and implemented health, education, and social justice programs for local Hadassah women’s groups. I conducted events and meetings and empowered volunteers to run and continue the groups and programs I initiated for the Seattle Chapter of Hadassah. An example of this is when I managed a team of over 50 volunteers to coordinate and execute an event to inform women about Breast Cancer Awareness. Through the Hadassah early detection program, a number of women had cancers detected in the very early stages, were treated, and are cancer-free. Another example is when I introduced the “Every Beat Counts” program to the Seattle area, encouraging heart health and exercise. This program continues running strongly to this day. In addition to program management, I designed and implemented a fundraising effort, resulting in an increase of monetary support from less than $50,000 the previous year to over $180,000 for the Hadassah Medical Center. Finally, I empowered and trained volunteers to allow for continuation of the program director work, following the expiration of the grant funding for the position. As Field Consultant, I planned and implemented programs, acted as a liaison between the Seattle Chapter and the national office, grew membership, wrote press releases and designed promotional materials, planned and ran meetings and events, and coordinated volunteers in largely volunteer-run organization. I was the liaison between the Seattle chapter and the national Hadassah office, coordinating membership outreach projects, forming and chartering new groups, and issuing press releases. I trained and developed volunteers for leadership positions within chapter groups. I personally chartered two new groups and grew membership from about 5 women under the age of 40 to over 80 members.
