Human Resources Consultant
In this role, I gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in the HR department. I started out as a junior HR coordinator, responsible for full cycle recruitment of call centre employees. I later began to take on other responsibilities such as the employee recognition program and the employee satisfaction survey as well as conducting Change Management training sessions for all staff. Once Accenture took over, I was given client groups to work with which included the large call centre and other customer service and billing departments. My experience working with the CUPE local 38 union employees, job stewards and union president were so valuable. Within a year, I became the sole HR Advisor for the Calgary office. My peers were in Vancouver and payroll/benefits were in Toronto. I had the privilege of participating in the latest CUPE bargaining sessions to update the new contract. What a great experience!
