Carolina Sá is a screenwriter, television director, filmmaker, producer, composer and singer.Carolina directed the Brazilian episode of the Netflix original series, My Love- 6 stories of true love, shot in six countries. The film is a co-production between USA, Brazil and Korea and has just premiered in 190 countries around the world, including Brazil.She wrote, produced and directed the feature film Construção released at the 35th São Paulo Film Festival in 2012 and screened at several festivals and cinemas across the country and abroad as Cine Suecia. With associate production by Brazilian director Walter Salles and Brazilian actress Patricia Pillar, the film won the Jury Honorable Mention at the FEMINA festival dedicated to female productions. She conceived, wrote and directed the series Onde Nascem as Ideias launched in 2019 on Canal Curta! with eight medium-length films about the creative process of Brazilian women artists. Sá wrote, produced and directed the documentary series Música Libre with five episodes about the musical universe of the Caribbean. The series was shown on the GNT, Canal Brasil and Canal Curta! channels in Brazil and on the BETJazz channel in the USA. She directed more than two hundred documentary programs for TV Brasil (Brazilian public network) between 2008 and 2014 and collaborated as a writer and director of several programs and documentaries for TV Escola and TV INES (education network) including the short film Ouvindo o Silêncio (Listening to the Silence) finalist for the UNESCO Award in the category Non-Fiction for children.In music, Carolina released her first album Adundundarandun in 2014, a partnership with Cuban musician René Ferrer. The work was produced by Alê Siqueira (Tribalistas) and received great reviews in Brazil and abroad.Her second authorial album ATLANTIKA released in 2021, was produced by Italian-German musician and arranger Chester Harlan and Cape Verdean musician and producer Mario Lucio. Some compositions of her own are part of the soundtrack of the Netflix film, including Exu com Oxalá, composed exclusively for the episode filmed in Brazil.
