During my Internship I worked alongside officers, engineers, legal and business support. My main role was to manage my own project on the benches in the Aberystwyth and Aberaeron areas of Ceredigion. I planned routes, plotted bench locations and dealt with members of the public when on fieldwork. I inputted the data I had collected onto maps using GIS, Asset Manager and Excel. I attended meetings, took meetings and met with the Environment Agency and Welsh Water. I collated information and produced a description of contents pages for Welsh Water applications. I helped officers produce letters to send out to members of the public and visited several of the Sewage Treatment sites. I carried out general administrative tasks, completed officer's timesheets by inputting their weekly hours into the council's system, organised private and confidential files. I would input information gathered from Ceredigion's garden waste collections into a database and exported data from Excel for winter maintenance on the roads into GIS maps.
