Exclusively manage the disability leave program for Symcor Inc. Administering 260 STD claims, 80 LTD claims annually. Maintain meticulous records and strict confidentiality of medical and sensitive personal information. Facilitate return-to-work programs by coordinating with Disability Case Managers, Health Providers, Rehab Specialists, Injured Employee and Management team. Regularly liaise alongside internal Legal Counsel and act as a Specialist on legal disability claims. Lead quarterly meetings with Disability Providers to review trends, number of claims, identify key drivers and process improvement initiatives. Present effective strategies and best practices for Sr Management team on well-being and preventative measures for the workplace. Participated in HRDC mediation.

Build relationship with all levels of Management to drive, improve and support business goals.

Collaborate with Managers to identify hiring needs. Develop and maintain qualified pool of candidates. Oversea the development and implementation of the recruitment process. Screen, interview and negotiate offers to successful candidates.

Responsible for administrating, managing and tracking all STD, LTD, Maternity/Parental leave and all other leave of absences for Central Region (GTA Branch). Work collaboratively with Plan Members, Plan Sponsors, Lawyers, Health Care Practitioners and other stakeholders. Liaise and collaborate with Management Team and HR Business Partners on complex disability/employee relation cases. Provide information and oversee all matters related to the Symcor Pension program including presenting annual pension information sessions for Central Region. Market and promote wellness programs.
