I am a current Recruitment Manager working to identify, cultivate, and recruit impact-driven leaders to join Teach for America and contribute to the movement for educational equity in our country, while bolstering representation for our students in the classroom. I engage in pipeline development, top and end of the funnel strategy development, one-on-one cultivation, event planning, relationship building, and networking with stakeholders in the educational equity movement. In my portfolios, I have grown ecosystem derived interest from -50% growth in Sep. 2022 to 140% growth at the end of March 2023, and have the privilege of leading the recruitment team's LGBTQIA2+ identity group to develop ways to better serve applicants, teachers, and K-12 students apart of our community.

Chosen from a highly selective pool of 50,000 applicants to join the national teacher corps of recent college graduates who commit to teaching for two years in high-needs public schools to improve political, social, economic conditions and decrease the opportunity gap that unjustly divides our society.

Served as Lead Teacher in a 2nd grade classroom through Teach for America (with experience in both in-person and virtual settings), instructing differentiated reading, math, and high-need intervention. Participated in weekly strategic group planning that responds to data collected both formally and informally, and gave data presentations to stakeholders to communicate progress and receive feedback. Created lesson materials that integrate social-emotional learning and culturally responsive pedagogy to empower students through their academic growth, character development, and community engagement.

Observed and interpreted classroom dynamics to strategize improvements in instructor task design, thenwrote daily reports advising possible modifications to communicate findings to team leaders. Helped create learning activities that are productive, high level, cooperative, and open to assessment for advancing student learning at the University by creating a more progressive classroom experience.

Elected to oversee the functioning of women’s Greek Life on behalf of the University of Arizona, which includes 3,500 students. Supervised a team who create large-scale programming for upwards of 3,000 people, manage a $250,000 budget, and act as a judiciary board for 16% of the student population. Managed 12 separate recruitment teams during a multi-month recruitment season that saw over 1,200 applicants, and led recruitment trainings for these teams as well as information sessions for potential new applicants. Spoke on behalf of UofA Greek Life at conferences across the nation and trained in both crisis management and sexual assault prevention, as well as DEI programming creation/execution.

Performed cultural community research and planned community-wide events partnering with O’odham, Yaqui, and Apache peoples. Assisted in creating the park’s educational programing for students ages 6-10 and interpreted obstacles in preexisting programs.

Part of a team participating in the RxHL study that investigated and analyzed cultural differences in health and medication beliefs among five ethnic groups of Tucson refugee communities, with a goal to improve patient experience by redesigning available information and increasing accessibility.

Participated in documenting the artistic and occupational sense of place in South Tucson, and was responsible for mapping out local cultural assets to encourage investments in economic development.
