Experienced Chief Executive at one of the UK’s leading community foundations. We give about £4.5m of grant funding each year from a growing endowment fund of circa £50 million. I advise high net worth individuals, businesses, public agencies and charitable trusts on the most effective ways to invest their charitable giving to meet social need. I care deeply about helping others and working with local communities to bring about lasting change. I hold a master’s degree in Philanthropy, Social Investment and Grantmaking from Bayes Business School and a bachelor’s degree in Communications. With over 25 years’ experience as a director and senior manager within the charity sector, having previously worked in TV and film production. I was appointed a trustee of Friends Provident Foundation in April 2023 and the Vice Chair of Trustees in June 2024. FPF is a national charity that strives for a fair and sustainable economic system. I have previously worked for large, national charities such as Institute of Fundraising and National Federation of Women’s Institutes. Board roles include UK Community Foundations Membership Committee, Rosa the UK Fund for Women and Girls, Northumbrian Water and Essex & Suffolk Water Consumer Challenge Group and the Fair Share Trust, a £50 million, national 10 year funding programme.
