John Hogg & Co Ltd is the head office of The John Hogg Group. The group consists of a number of companies including John Hogg Technical Solutions, John Hogg Operational Ltd, Orrs Travel Ltd, Killylane Properties Ltd and Ulster Weavers Ltd. The John Hogg Group has a turnover of £56 million and 168 employees.

Edge was a corporate training company, which specialised in Sales & Leadership training. Edge managed the ‘Explorers & Connections’ Graduate Placement Programmes funded by Invest NI. Other main clients of Edge included Coca Cola, FG Wilson & PSB Singapore. These were facilitated by offices in N Ireland, Amsterdam, New York, Singapore & Australia. Edge employed 20 people and had a turnover of approximately £2m At Edge I became responsible for the production and documentation of financial policies and procedures to ISO standard. It was also my responsibility to ensure that these were adhered to. I was the main point of contact in relation to any financial matters arising from the training programmes. As well as invoicing and credit control this involved liaising between Invest NI, Client Companies and Graduates on the Explorers and Connections Programmes and in relation to the corporate programmes this involved liaising with the Finance & HR departments to ensure KPI’s were met and performance bonuses were paid.
