I maintain an active legal practice focused on commercial lending, construction, real estate, and development clients. Decades of experience with commercial and real estate related litigation covering a variety of causes of action including eminent domain, foreclosure, quiet title, and business disputes relating to sales, leases, construction, and loan/guaranty agreements. I advocate for clients in state and federal court, as well as administrative bodies and local governments. Some of my noteworthy matters include: • Victory on behalf of lender against company seeking over $3 million dollars in a lender liability case.• Obtained Court Order which overturned a city’s attempt to stop construction of an assisted living facility, overcoming neighborhood opposition.• Secured a Court Order to clear title issues on a property to facilitate a client’s commercial development.• Success for levee district clients opposing an attempt to condemn of portion of a levee, which Court Order included recovery of client’s attorneys’ fees.• Achieved an administrative exemption for real estate taxes for property owned by a charitable organization.
