• Direct and administrate grade 9–12 Music Program which includes 3 jazz bands and combos, 3 percussion ensembles, concert band, beginning band, small ensembles, athletic band and music appreciation classes• Honors Jazz Band performed at the 2004 Chicago Jazz Festival (first high school ever invited to perform)• 2005 Heart of the School Award for Arts Instruction, Archdiocese of Chicago• Regularly host concerts & workshops that have featured Grammy Award-winning performers & composers• Ensembles have performed throughout Chicago and in New Orleans and New York City• Prepared students for area/statewide honor bands• Instrumental in securing two grants totaling $45,000 for percussion equipment• Started and administrate private instruction program• Founded and currently direct yearly summer jazz camp for area grade school students• Facilitated the move of band from an extra‐curricular activity to credited class at honors and college prep levels• Tripled instrumental music enrollment from beginning of tenure• Serve on Department Chairperson Committee
