I am currently an undergrad at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business studying Finance and Digital Technology Management. I am collaborative, accountable, and resourceful, which is demonstrated by the various teams and clubs I was involved with in high school. I was on the wrestling team and played varsity lacrosse and football while maintaining a strong and competitive GPA. Besides being in the National Honors Society, I was also selected for the school's Peer Leader program, and was a member of the Leo Club which focuses on raising money and providing community service for a variety of local charities. Outside of school, I was involved in volunteer work for a local soup kitchen, helping to serve and prepare meals with the goal of combating the consequences of food insecurity. During my Freshman Year at Indiana University, I have continued looking for ways to connect and network with others outside of the classroom setting. With this in mind, I joined many student organizations including the Financial Services Club, Undergraduate Research Trading, and the Banking and Trading Association while participating on various intramural teams. These business-centric groups have helped focus my career goals; my intention is to continue learning about what roles within wealth management, investment banking, or sales and trading would entail. While I continue to explore, the aforementioned programs are helping me strengthen key business tools such as clear and concise communication and creative problem solving. This summer, I am scheduled to shadow three finance professionals, who each work in one of the previously mentioned sectors of the industry I hope to pursue a career in. My objective is to identify the role that most excites me, begin to build a network, and take the first steps toward a formal internship for next year. This experience will deepen my understanding of the skills necessary to succeed in the field. It will also educate me on the attributes that help junior employees stand out from their peers.
