Shifted to role developing and interfacing with data compression systems for large scale terrain data, with the goal of increasing the accessibility of critical elevation maps and improving the throughput of existing systems. Independently developed novel system GPGC (General Purpose Geospatial Compression), shown to exhibit higher compression ratios and accuracy than leading comparable algorithms, using a cross-entropy loss mechanism for quadtree decomposition. Currently working on neural compression using generative models for terrain.

Paid research associate at University of Tulsa VAIL project. Led OpenRQS project to democratize critical elevation data read systems for civilian aircraft. Developed system architecture in C and C++ to create highly redundant "Raster Query System" (RQS) backend to Ground Collision Avoidance avionics software. As of May 2023, the largest contributor to the production repository. Worked in combination with researchers at CERN and around the United States.

Selected as only high school student for research program in chemistry in the laboratory of Dr. Gabriel LeBlanc. Research focused on creation of plastic-based perovskite solar cells to drastically reduce cost and increase efficiency.
