Having traversed the glamorous pathways of modeling and pageantry, I founded Carter Crown Coaching, a culmination of my experiences and a testament to my commitment to mentoring others. My journey began on the runway, participating in numerous fashion shows across the country, which polished my poise and presentation skills. As a dedicated pageant participant, I achieved notable placements including a win at National American Miss, multiple runner-up titles, and top 10 finishes in Miss North Carolina Teen USA and Miss New York Teen USA, culminating in a 2nd runner-up position at Miss New York USA.These experiences not only honed my skills but also ignited my passion for coaching. At Carter Crown Coaching, I leverage my extensive background to coach aspiring models and pageant contestants. My approach is deeply rooted in teaching the art of combining grace with vulnerability and confidence—qualities essential for both the runway and pageantry. My role involved leading and mentoring a dynamic team, driving sales performance, and implementing effective merchandising strategies. I was responsible for handling and counting money, ensuring accuracy and security in all transactions. I disseminated tasks among staff to optimize efficiency and productivity, and I resolved problems promptly to maintain a positive shopping environment. As Director of Political Action for the New York University Black Student Union, I had the unique opportunity to shape the role to fit the evolving needs of our community. I took the initiative to establish a Political Action Committee, serving as its Chair, which allowed us to engage more deeply with political processes and advocacy. Over the course of a year, I led a comprehensive research project that involved conducting interviews, synthesizing information, and drafting an insightful conclusion that furthered our understanding of relevant political issues.Additionally, I was responsible for the creation and distribution of a weekly newsletter that kept our community informed about local, state, and national political news. This role not only honed my skills in writing and editing but also deepened my understanding of the media landscape and its intersections with politics.Beyond research and publications, I was actively involved in enriching our campus culture through civic education.
