I have fostered an excellent client relationship through the provision of insightful, quality analysis which I presented to key stakeholders, allowing them to make informed decisions and changes.

It was my responsibility as a Senior Data Analyst to lead on highly complex and technically challenging projects, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget and delivered with exceptional quality. It was essential that information from a range of sources was appropriately analysed, interpreted and findings presented in a coherent and visually engaging way.I was involved at multiple stages of past projects including; project scoping, project management, liaising with clients and quality assurance. I attended various training courses such as; Information Analysts’ Development Programme, SQL, Tableau and Qlikview. I developed my knowledge of the NHS framework, specialties, clinical coding and my understanding of specific data patterns that are of benefit to clients. I gained a detailed knowledge of large data sets including; Secondary Uses Service and Hospital Episode Statistics (APC, OP, AE).

I used tools such as SQL, Tableau, QlikView, R and Excel to develop a variety of analyses and visualisations. I was involved with a variety of pathway redesign and predictive analytical projects as well as producing reports and metrics on a regular basis for ongoing monitoring work. I efficiently managed numerous tasks with different and often conflicting deadlines and priorities

My various duties involved; opening and closing the store, making sure the safe and till were correct, managing other staff members, entering deliveries etc. This helped me to work as part of a team along with my other colleagues and has also increased my ability to work on my own. I worked fulltime whilst at University so this shows that I have good time managing skills as I managed to get everything done to a standard I was happy with.

During my placement year at Royal Mail I worked within Technology as a Resourcing Analyst which entailed collecting information regarding resources and skills needed by the business. I was directly accountable to the head of resource management, to whom I was expected to report demand for the resources as well as documenting and updating this demand within computer databases. Within the varied projects undertaken I was involved with things such as dealing with requests from managers, project profiles, chasing missed time reports from Technology staff, carrying out the on boarding and off boarding of permanent and contractor resource process and providing the detailed reports to support the defined reporting cycle for each of the Resource Governance forums.I was required to have good influencing skills as a large part of my role involved talking to various stakeholders to inform them of issues and abilities or to persuade them to alter their methods based on resource capabilities. The information conveyed by me also had to be presented effectively and professionally therefore the skills which allowed for this would be firstly excellent verbal and written skills which would credit any points I had with added professionalism. The skills necessary to insure the information was of merit would include a great depth of knowledge around the subject area to insure information was sound and understood by myself before being passed to others. Furthermore, attention to detail and analytical skills would help primarily generate any information and make it valued in its contribution to a project. I designed and developed a number of tools to help support the resource management team produce information and become more effective and efficient at reporting. I worked with external suppliers and was able to liaise with external agencies i.e. JMedia, AMS, Acutest and PA Consulting.
