Awarded a Fulbright-García Robles scholarship through the Mexico-United States Commission for Educational and Cultural Exchange (COMEXUS) to work as an English Teaching Assistant (ETA) and cultural ambassador in Mexico at the Universidad de Quintana Roo.

Designed and conducted engineering-based workshops for K-12 student groups in accordance with Next Generation Science Standards, aiming to promote interest in engineering, particularly among girls. Participated in an educational and cultural exchange program between the University of Maine's Forestry Bioproducts Research Institute and the University of Concepción's (Chile) Technology Development Unit (NSF Award # 1461116). Spent 9 weeks researching the effects of recycled wood ash as a soil amendment, including pH, plant biomass, and microbiological activity. Standardized two enzyme assays.
