Owner Operator
CurrentProject ‘Break the Chain’ will strive to interrupt the normal cycle of subjects existing in the treatment centers, homeless shelters and confinement bubble. Two highly qualified Employment Specialists will use outreach, training, and employment skill sets to enhance the employability of their clients. In the homeless shelters, Cor-Dray Consulting will utilize day room space to work with transients at their will. We will outreach with the county jails and State penitentiary to perform post-release employment training to applicable inmates; whom are in their last phase of confinement. We will also outreach with the various substance abuse treatment centers to train patients who are at the tail end of their programs. The basis of our expertise will not be from a disability employment perspective; but from a professional employment angle under the qualifications of a Human Resources expert who knows the ins and outs of equal opportunity employment and employment law.Existence of a subject at a treatment center, homeless shelter or correctional facility does not in and of itself lend to a diagnosis of a developmental disability; however the behaviors that lead to many of these cases can be attributed to a certain degree of mental illness whereby at some point, the subjects chose to self-medicate uncontrollably, violate a law or lose family and home because of a temporary or permanent loss of control. The United States Office of Personnel Management does list “history of alcoholism” as a non-targeted disability. Similar to normal Supported Employment activities, we will outreach with employers around Wyoming, traveling to state-wide locations as necessary to establish work partnerships. We will job coach our clients at their respective work sites. We will train worksite employees, managers and supervisors on topics such as diversity inclusion and reasonable accommodations.
