About Casey Corbin

Casey Corbin – Email: casey(at)casey.la – Currently teaching in Japan, seeking opportunities as a financial analyst.I currently work as an Assistant Language Teacher at a Senior High School in Southern Japan, where I apply my abilities in public speaking, communication, speech and debate, and time management to teach classes upwards of two hours, coach students on their English exams, and help my students win speech and debate competitions. During my free time, I write about my experiences in Japan on my blog - casey.la - and maintain a list of things to do in Fukuoka for visitors to enjoy.I have a passion for finance began at the age of 10 when I was given a single share of Burlington Northern Santa Fe. Upon watching this share of stock grow in value and receiving a tender offer, I became interested in the stock market. I gained hands-on experience with trading, learning about Wall Street while growing my portfolio, which continues to outperform the S&P 500. My interest in the stock market grew into a passion for all things personal finance. These days, I help my friends and neighbors find the best banking products for their needs while educating my peers on personal finances.I graduated Chapman University Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Strategic and Corporate Communication with minors in Leadership Studies and Political Science. I am seeking to turn my passion for finance into a rewarding career where I can help others while applying my abilities in research, data analytics, and strategic communication.Feel free to reach out to me at casey(at)casey.la. I look forward to connecting with you!Head shot and banner photographs courtesy of Anastasia Waring
