St Austell

I worked as a customer assistant for my first 9 months in this position, scan peoples items through the till, pack them in a bag for them, talk to them about the latest offers, send them in the right direction if they wanted advise on makeup, perfume, electrical's or medication. Then I became a warehouse worker for the rest of my time here, consisted of early morning, booking in a delivery, checking delivery, unpacking delivery and stocking up shop floor, merchandising, and keeping a record up to date record of all stocked items.

I also loved working here as I had such a great team to work with. Took deliveries, booked products into the computer system, printed off orders, matched up correct products to correct order forms, packed orders, organized orders into correct postal systems and sent them out. Unfortunately due to the company not making enough money, I was asked to leave because they would afford to pay my wages.

Newquay Zoo

Seasonal work at a local zoo. I loved working here. I learnt how to face paint which has helped me with my artistic skills. I also had to conduct children's birthday parties, give them tours and talks throughout the zoo. I was also asked on many occasions to help out with the public encounter, which entailed myself handling various species and occasionally feeding them.
