Casey Simmons is a Director at QIAA, Qatar Investment Authority Advisory (USA), a subsidiary of one of the largest sovereign wealth funds globally. Since joining QIAA in 2020, he has made many investments in enterprise software, Internet, Digital Media, FinTech, eCommerce and Semiconductors globally, including in North America, Europe, India, and China. He currently focuses on new and existing investments in Enterprise Software and Internet & Media. Casey’s previous investments include Claroty, Bringg, Digital Guardian, Github (Acquired for $7.5bn by Microsoft), Upwork (IPO), Centrify (acquired by Thoma Bravo), MobileIron (IPO), Lenskart, Akibia (acquired by Zensar), SafeNet (acquired by Gemalto), Avectra (acquired by Abila), PBR (acquired by IMG), Envivio (IPO), Freescale (IPO) and NXP (IPO). Prior to joining QIA, Casey was a Principal at next47 (investment arm of Siemens). He also worked for Adveq, Jefferies Broadview and Lockheed Martin. Casey graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Villanova University, Master's in Telecommunications from the University of Pennsylvania and MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
