Speech Language Pathologist
Current- Evaluate & provide individualized speech-language therapy to students in preschool through 5th grade with receptive-expressive language delays, speech sound disorders (articulation, phonological, and Childhood Apraxia.
- Service the resource room within G.T. Norman Elementary by providing individualized interventions for both verbal and nonverbal children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Facilitate social skills groups with the school social worker targeting pragmatic language goals, such as turn taking, topic initiation, topic maintenance, etc.
- Complete daily therapy logs, Medicaid service logs, progress reports, Individualized Education Plans, Nonpublic Service Plans, and Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team Reports.
- Took leadership role in development of Procedures Manual & Parent Handbook as a part of the Corrective Action Plan in response to an audit of the Reed City Special Education Department
- Develop home programs and resource packets for parents of children receiving speech and language services
