I have been working on one of POH's main clients' project team, learning the "in's and out's" of the program. Originally I worked with the Feasibility department as an introduction to the program. Currently I am working with Project Managers and Project Architects in the Construction Document phase of most projects. Since our firm is in Revit, there are a lot of coordination efforts that have to be made with our consultants who use AutoCAD, and I help with that as well.

As an Assistant Bartender/Barback, I served multiple purposes. My duties included running food from the kitchen, taking orders from and serving tables, keeping the bar stocked during hours, cleaning the bar and surrounding tables, and generally anything else that the bartenders needed me to do. My strong suit has never been making drinks, but I have always been good at serving people!

As the Summer Intern, I picked up a lot of work wherever I could find it. Redlining was perhaps my biggest area of work, though I had several opportunities to do schematic design. Also, I developed a digital 3D site model of the existing structure for a project. I enjoyed my first glimpse into the workings of an architectural firm and the opportunity I had to get to know everyone at the small office.

I served as the coordinator of children's birthday parties that were either on the bowling lanes or in the arcade and lazer tag area. I served pizza, drinks, and the cake. Even though I sometimes lost my voice, I enjoyed being able to help children feel special and have a great time on their birthdays and to allow their parents to enjoy it as well.
