Guided and mentored high school seniors throughout the entirety of the college process. I provided highly individualized, hands-on support to a caseload of 40 seniors at Morgan Park High School on the South Side of Chicago, most of whom will be the first in their family to attend college. As a College Access Coach my mission was not only to help my students gain access to higher education, but to equip them with the skills and confidence necessary to succeed at their future institutions.

Advised and supported first- and second-year college students around topics such as the college transition, financial aid, academic success, professional development and overall health and well-being. Managed a caseload of over 200 students from low-income backgrounds who attend a variety of post-secondary institutions, both 2-year and 4-year. As a Transition Coach I strove to ensure that my students had the resources and support they needed to succeed and persist through college.

Provided one-on-one tutoring to low-income, first-generation community college students for a range of subjects. As a tutor with One Million Degrees I academically and socio-emotionally supported students of a variety of ages, circumstances and backgrounds in their pursuit of an associate's degree.

Taught English as a second language to middle and high school students in Mittweida, Germany. As a grantee of Fulbright's Diversity Program I also worked closely with the Fichte-Schule's integration program, teaching German as a second language to newly arrived refugees and immigrants and supporting their integration into a foreign culture and school system.

Worked under the New American Sustainable Agriculture Project (NASAP) to educate Somali-Bantu and Congolese refugees around growing produce in a northeastern climate, navigating the American market and managing an independently owned farm business. Collaborated daily with a multiethnic and multilingual staff to effectively guide and support participants from a range of backgrounds and abilities.
