I am a JMU student pursuing a B.S. in Sports and Recreation Management with a business minor from James Madison University. I am a competitive, community-minded team player who enjoys looking for opportunities for growth and has a passion for the sports industry.As an ambitious SRM major, I have taken on a number of opportunities to enhance my scope of experience. I currently volunteer weekly as a coach for Area 4 Special Olympics. As a volunteer, I lead the athletes in practice, help organize local community events, and travel across Virginia to each tournament. This role is complementary to my major as it allows me to experience the inter-workings of a sport organization first-hand. Additionally, it has allowed me to practice my leadership skills across a diverse group of individuals. In addition, I currently serve as Continuing Education Chair for my fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha. As Continuing Education Chair, I am responsible for holding meetings with newly initiated brothers to inform them of the opportunities our fraternity can provide. I am a resource for growth and community involvement and enjoy pushing my fellow brothers to their highest potential. My undergraduate education coupled with my passion for D.C sports has prepared me for my desired career in Sports Management. In balancing extra curricular activities while being challenged by my rigorous business courses at JMU, I feel I have obtained the resources and knowledge to be a successful member of any sports management team post-grad.
