In June of 2011, Skyward Inc. was chosen as a preferred software vendor for K-12 school districts in the state of TX by the Texas Education Agency (TEA).As the TX SSIS Program Manager, I have been responsible for overseeing the completion of 46 contract deliverables, a 115 page Governance Manual, coordinating the implementation of 70 software enhancements, the successful setup and testing of a new Tier 3 Data Center located at DataBank in Dallas, TX (www.databank.com) and the… Show more In June of 2011, Skyward Inc. was chosen as a preferred software vendor for K-12 school districts in the state of TX by the Texas Education Agency (TEA).As the TX SSIS Program Manager, I have been responsible for overseeing the completion of 46 contract deliverables, a 115 page Governance Manual, coordinating the implementation of 70 software enhancements, the successful setup and testing of a new Tier 3 Data Center located at DataBank in Dallas, TX (www.databank.com) and the implementation of a geographically diverse Disaster Recovery Plan and RunBook. I have also assisted the sales and marketing teams in an effort to promote Skyward's presence in TX, and implemented a successful waterfall approach to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for all 70 application enhancements.Additional experience includes proficiency in Microsoft Project 2010, analyzing corporate operations data and completing fit-gap analysis, streamlining processes for support to Skyward customers and increasing overall satisfaction and the customer experience.- Responsible for the overall success of the project- Managing and leading the project team- Recruiting project staff and consultants- Managing coordination of the partners and working groups engaged in project work- Facilitate scope definition including functionality and technology- Detailed project planning and control including: - Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan - Managing project deliverables in line with the project plan - Recording and managing project issues and escalating where necessary - Resolving cross-functional issues at project level - Managing project scope and change control and escalating issues where necessary - Monitoring project progress and performance - Providing status reports to the project sponsor- Liaison with, and updates progress to TEA Contract Manager- Managing project evaluation and dissemination activities- Coordinate phase sign-offs Show less
