● Lead a team of 5 infusion specialists to assist with any problems and make certain all policies and procedures are followed.● Receive and process new referrals from over 200 referral sources● Perform insurance investigations and report back to referral sources within 20 minutes● Ensure all of the information required by the pharmacy is received before patients begin services● Create both a physical and an electronic chart and enter all data to electronic chart● Obtain both initial and ongoing insurance authorizations for all patients on service● Coordinate logistics of IV deliveries with deliveries of other departments● Bill insurance companies in accordance with payor specific contracts● Case manage patients for quality assurance for both long term and short term patients● Design all processes and write policies for Infusion department● Member of Financial Advisory Board● Support Account Managers and maintain positive relationships with referral sources● Provide support to pharmacy department

● Obtain and maintain all insurance authorizations for over 1000 patients in 8 different branches● Lead a team of 8 authorization specialists to ensure SOP is upheld, and to troubleshoot any issues● Communicate directly with physician offices, patients, and/or referral sources to obtain documents necessary for authorization and billing purposes.● Enter all data accurately and in a timely matter to support the Pharmacy and Billing departments ● Comprehend and execute application of payor contract terms and coding to individual patient accounts● Negotiate fees and individual patient agreements with non-contracted payors to obtain authorization● Process and review daily Rock Pond reports to ensure all patients and their authorizations are accounted for● Work in tandem with Patient Care Reps, Pharmacists, Branch Managers and Intake Staff to ensure accuracy and communication for each active patient on service.
